Don't tell him, he knows everything and will not listen! I know what it is for but he would not understand or believe it if I said so, therefore I will not post it.

That's where I was confused, because following yellow it goes to the exhaust system

It is not a case of not knowing, it is a case of not understanding and thinking about the risks. When the risk is pointed out you take it as an affront that anyone can doubt your ability.
My advice is that you go ahead and burn your van down by connecting the heater exhaust to the incorrect pipe.

Going through Bentley and Haynes, yellow goes to the exhaust system and connects to the heat exchanger, so not sure how clean air would get to the heater.

If you go on with this install, I would advise you in the strongest possible terms to use a carbon monoxide alarm when running it. That stuff kills! I would also advise you to have a professional quickly check it after you're done, although fire isn't nearly as lethal in vans as CO.

Hi Rik,
Before using the van for the first time, I installed a carbon monoxide alarm. Not 100% I seem to remember something about the carbon monoxide alarms is law now

As for getting it checked out by a professional, I have a neighbour who will give it a check over. He is registered gas Safe.
