Oettinger Intercooler

Oettinger Water Pump.jpg
I have the remnants of an Oettinger intercooler in my Atlantic 1.6TD. Basically a small radiator in front of the main one and a water pump situated next to the gearbox. The water pipes are discontinued from the pump into the engine compartment- I will most probably remove the radiator and pump as they are not used but before I do has anyone got a diagram/brochure of the Oettinger 1600 kits? - I would like to know how it worked before I pull it off.

The charge cooler went in the front corner of engine bay just under black box. There is also a spacer on the LDA.

I think the German abbreviation is LLK!?

If you add LLK after obvious words in google might throw some images up :ok

Thanks for that - I found some pictures and google translate has helped! My Turbo, LDA and cylinder head have all been replaced. There are a couple of metal tubes in the engine bay that would of held the charge cooler in place. I'm going to take the rest out of the Van and should get a better airflow onto the main radiator!
