Replacement headlamps

Hubby wants to change the headlamps on our 1984 van . They are the round ones and are very dull. Any ideas on which headlamps he could replace them with that will take brighter bulbs, possibly LED ones. Thanks

This option won't work for my van because my headlight mounts are different and don't have the cutouts the Lucas headlights locate into, but apparently headlight upgrades for early Golf GTis can be fitted.

These will be a simple swap and are what I am running,

This is what light they give with standard h4 bulbs and just an upgraded feed to the fuse box


There are some slightly cheaper lights available that will fit but they will require you to come up with a fixing method.
