I got the rubber from VW emporium, Autoglass supplied the screen (pilkington). It wasn't fitted well and leaked in the RH bottom corner. A Senior Technician. came out who initially BS'd, saying it fitted fine. Eventually agreed it wasn't fitted and said the replacement windscreen was too small. He ordered another one and cleared off
Am I right in thinking that the was only one size windscreen for all varieties of T25?

Re: Autoglass Windscreen
Autoglass been out again. This time fitted an SA tinted screen. The rubber is still higher in the corners than the old rubber and water will get in.
I'm beginning to wonder whether the rubber is right. I bought it from VW emporium-does anyone know if they're exactly the same size as original spec?

Re: Autoglass Windscreen
Its quite possible the seal wasn't orientated corectly but always found VW Emporium seals fit like a glove. If it sits flat, its a good seal. If it bulges out its a cheap copy. I always run a very thin bead of mastic under the seal after. You did get any rust repaired didn't you? Water comes in via the top by the way and drips down under the seal into the corners so make sure top rather than corners has a good seal.

Re: Autoglass Windscreen
i should have dealt with this before but do you run the bead along the outer edge of the seal or further under
