Heater control levers

Hi everyone I was just wondering how to take my heater control plastic levers off.do they just pull off ? Cheers dave :ok

Yep, they just pull off. Easiest to centre the lever and then pull straight towards you. Note which way up each are so they it's easy to put them back on again :) IIRC taking the ash try out makes it easier to see what's going on back there.

One of my levers appears to have detached from whatever is under there...
How do I get the control panel out to reconnect - is it a dashboard out job..?

No, lever facia also pulls off, although the lugs can snap easily to lever it off carefully all the way round so it comes off square.

Must get around to taking mine off as the illumination has never worked since I got the van.
Why didn't I sort that out when I did the heater motor 2 years ago :roll: :oops: :(
Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here

You need an ultrabright LED at that as its one of those edge-on illumination jobbies.

As I recall, you can reach it through the ashtray hole to change the bulb - if you have skinnyish arms or employ someone with!

I replaced the heater facia bulb when I did my blower motor, also replaced one of the broken heater knobs. Bulb is pretty dim though...
