

I hate bad tips on soldering irons, where the solder won't flow across it, just blobs up


25W Weller "Solder station" for me. Temperature control, lots of different types of tips which can be swapped in seconds, nice well made stand, had it for about 25 years and used it professionally and daily for much of that time. It's still going strong (though it's had a new element and a new cable in that time).
I also have an micro soldering iron for the really delicate stuff, and a felt tip pen sized gas blow torch for car battery wires etc
