Pierburg Heater Element (Broken)

Post by DoubleOSeven »

2 steps forward, 3 back.

Autochoke was not functioning from cold, found the 12V feed wire was damaged and not carrying any amps.

So, thought I'd replace, but I've made a bad job of it. I now need to see what a good perfect heating element (looks like a spring) and the associated wire looks like please?

I could also do with a new/second hand element/spring.

Any offers - Cheers, Martin.

I might have one of those assemblies.

Good info there folks.
I do need a new element it seems, mine is very stretched and I've no idea how to join it to the 12v wire. The original had a 'tiny' metal crimp sleeve, only a watch maker could work with!

Just chuck it down the open venturi for the second choke there are holes in the throttles so it will find its way into the inlet manufold even if the throttle is closed
