Lights left on warning?

Post by triumph2.5pi »

I seem to be becoming increasingly absent minded and have left my lights on a number of times recently (luckily my eagle eyed neighbour has spotted it each time)...

Is there a kit on the market that can be fitted where a buzzer or some sort of warning goes off if I turn the ignition off while the lights are still on...?

Thanks a lot for the link (should've looked in the wiki first, doh!).

For my purpose it would need it to be operated when the ignition is turned off, rather than by the door being opened. I have an '88 Autosleeper, but no intermittent wipers unfortunately. Does that mean that the 292 relay solution would still potentially work for me? I'm a complete layman and don't really understand even the most basic of technical stuff - what I'm looking for is a solution to hand to my local T25 specialist to fit. Thanks :D

The amazon and ebay is full of small light reminder buzzers, but I think they are in some autopart stores also.
I am using this type: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Carpoint-152700 ... B003XEAOBA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
this is louder as I know: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Carpoint-152345 ... B003WVPEQO" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Or for DIY: http://www.instructables.com/id/Vehicle ... -reminder/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The 292 relay option buzzes when you turn the ignition off.

In addition you will need the 99 wiper relay. Both plug and play as long as you don't have front fog lights fitted. Incredibly easy to do.
