Repair of front seat swivel and adjustable arm rest.

Post by GrahamL »

Hi,
Does anyone know of a company or person who can repair the swivel and adjustable arm rest to a front seat of my Atlantic, 1.6TD.
On investigation the female tube which houses a shaft fixed to the back rest has split longitudinal.
It needs someone with experience to be able to unstitch the arm rest, replace the female housing and re stitch.
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards
Graham

if I understand you there should be a roll pin holding the armpad on to the seat back, mine fell out and the arm could move all the way up and down,it pulled off and I refitted another roll pin, maybe that has happened to yours

Hi,
Yes........this does help, the female socket the roll pin secures to enabling the armrest to rotate has broken, so I need this item renewed / replaced.
May have to purchase an armrest(hopefully not the whole chair) and re cover with existing material.

Thanks for the help.
