I'm trying to identify a problem by eliminating any potential faults. Obvious choice before attempting removing the complete dash for access to the blower motor.
Soon......Besides the possibility of the hot and cold blower motor being knackered, what other potential causes may render the hot and cold blower useless or in operable please?

Assume you've checked the fuse?
Have you tried testing the rotary switch and probing the connections to it to see if you're getting power?

HOWEVER, do not uprate a fuse that continues to blow too much or you'll have a melted fusebox or even a fire. If the blower keeps blowing fuses (usually on startup) then you'll have to bite the bullet and get the blower replaced. 30 year old electric motors are 30 year old motors.
