Starting problem

Post by tattoojohnny »

I've got a problem starting. More often than not when I turn the key nothing happens. Sometimes I get a click but have been having to hot wire it by touching a cable from the +ve terminal on the battery to the starter itself and it turns over fine and starts. I've replaced the ignition switch but that hasn't solved the problem.
Any ideas on what it might be?
TIA

Solenoid. Clean the crap off the spade clips and terminals with a 3M scotch pad or sand paper.
