So are you saying that you have replaced the headlight switch and the highbeam stalk?

When you pull the stalk towards you can you hear/feel the switch clicking on and off? (Reason I ask is that in the past when installing the stalk I managed to get it into a state where I couldn't deselect highbeam - can't recall exactly what the situation was - but can you positively hear the switch clicking on/off?)

Another question - (with the headlight switch on) when you pull the stalk towards you (and hold it pulled towards you) do the highbeams get a bit brighter?

Also does the van have old or new style fuses??
