What brakes do I have?
Is there a simple way of identifying what type of brakes I have on the front of my van? They are definitely 'early' as it's 1983 but not sure of the difference between Girling and ATE?
Any help greatly appreciated!

ATE earlies use 'Cross shaped' tensioning spring plates and the pad retaining pins have an expandable collar retainer.

Early Girling use a different retaining mechanism with small G clips that go through small holes in the retaining pins.

Brake pads are the same....and both can be swapped for the other as long as in pairs.
