well, squeeling. I didnt drive my van for about a month. Left it parked up and now my heater is squeeling. it gets better and worse but not particularly in either direction when I turn it up and down.
Is this just some dirt stuck in it, or a bearing failing?
Thanks for the help.

Hi there, sorry but you are going to have to read this = https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Co ... eplacement" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; then either try the bodge "sqirt some oil through a hole" at the bearing, or bite the bullet and take the dash out
Thanks Ghost. So from that it is a small hole spray and hope jobby or a new heater blower (dash out). Think I will try the small hole and add the dash to the list of things to do.

Will replace then, need to do some rust around the front windscreen which i need the dashout for? and I have some messy wiring and washer jets that dont work, Dash needs a tidy up too so probably worth while.
I wander if I can do it all in 24 hours whilst parked in the street. Mind you I did leave it in the same spot for a month over christmas without a ticket.

Possible to do welding in 24 hours - then refit blower and dash in another 24 hours but not at this time of year - daylight doesn't last long. Good move though.
Consider wiper motor though. After all, when do you EVER intend to remove dash more than once. Washer jets easy to get at too with dash out.
I fitted my speakers under there too, and believe me they sound better than ones shoved in doors - everyone remarks on it when they hear mine. LOT of room under there for speaker pods.

My bus aint a daily driver, so its on my drive and I do bits each lunchtime and after I finish work..fortunate to work from home
Ive had to replace the blower, transistors and some wiring, clean up earth crowns - rewire speakers, new antenna.....washer jets, washer hose..
The windscreen needs attention, but thats going to have to wait for the summer and a warm spell
Now I've done this Id be happy to take the dash out again...

Very long and ever increasing! I'm in a similar boat. Somewhere warm and dry would be awesome. I am limited to on street parking and the in laws, but I can't make a mess there.

Nice that you are in Guernsey, have a second mother (adopted & very long story) who lives in St Peters Port. I havent been to the C.I since college and I was 17...so overdue a visit.
Today spent time in the van sorting out the blower, re wiring, soldering, cleaning and general tinkering....then managed to drill into my leg with a 2.5mm drill bit...
