Have you checked your water system. Is it contaminated with ATF fluid.

This bit is worrying.

The problem was that when the cooler did fail, it failed internally. When this happened, it allowed the two fluids (ATF and coolant) to mix. So, the transmission would be filled with coolant, and the cooling system got contaminated with ATF. The result is a ruined transmission ($2500) and a ruined cooling system ($3500

Just so you know,Jed and al's company campervanculture.com are sole importers of gowesty products, should you wish to order anything from them.I would consider changing to a gowesty ATF cooler, they are not cheap, but a darn sight cheaper than a new gearbox/engine.

Do these have a auto gearbox heat exchange built into the main coolant radiator? ...just a thought.

They connect to the gearbox the same as the original cooler.if I am reading your question right Martin. They dont connect directly to the radiator.

I have no specific knowledge of T25 autos but I do know on some designs a heat exchange is built into the main radiator...not on these then?
