replacement instrument cluster

Post by daryl7441 »

Morning all. I posted a couple of weeks ago about needing a new pcb as mine has burned out in places. Im having no joy in getting a new one so has concidered buying a complete unit. My question is, although ive found a few which have identical dials, the multiplug socket is in a different place. Are they all interchangable or do they have to be exactly the same? Cheers for your help .

They changed in around 1985 (you don't mention which version yours is). I am not 100% sure but I think you need the correct one.

Have you seen the mod whereby you replace the delicate PCB with hard wires ? (it's in the wiki somewhere iirc)

Interesting idea. Got an early 1981 model. Think I may be well out of my depth with it though.
