Fuel tank Q's

Hi , does anyone know, if i was going to change my early f/tank to a later small filler neck one, is it just the filler pipe i have to change or do i need new petrol cap & sender unit etc....

Just the filler pipe. I did this last weekend. I already had the later plastic filler pipe, and my old tank had an oversize adapter grommet to suit the narrower filler pipe. The sender and all the breathers are the same on both tanks. The only bit I'm not absolutely certain about, given that mine already had the later filler pipe, is whether the previous owner had to change the filler cap, filler neck etc. I don't believe so, since I've only seen one type listed for those parts.

And
The tank is carburetor/diesel and not injection as they have a built in swirl chamber and larger fuel outlet pipe.

Cool...so basically if its a standard carb tank its pretty more or less a straight swap ....
