This is the JX mushroom
I've put the AAZ breather mushroom on now, with the extra breather inlet from the crankcase, and it seems to have done the trick. I haven't took the banjo off to check for oil yet though as I've just had to get through an Mot & theres been a lot of other more pressing jobs to sort out.
Damn, as I was fitting it I thought I should make a note of the number, as its on the underside, but didn't However I've just removed it & the number is 028129101D
Just like this one; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Mk3-Golf-V ... 417f84de9c" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Ok I am confused now - should mine be open the whole time? Can I run it into a separate catch tank for a while? What are the benefits of swopping mine for the AAZ one?
Sorry bud, the pcv valve closes when the turbo sucks and opens when there's no vacuum.
Some people add an extra breather pipe from the crankcase by modifying a blanking plate by drilling a hole and welding in a pipe, this plate is next to the brake vacuum pump.
This extra breather pipe then connects to an aaz mushroom as they have two connections instead of one that the jx has.
