whats the procedure for fault finding this problem?
Fuse was blown-replaced
Switch replaced, fuse hasn't blown again blower still not working.
so am I right in thinking it should be either the resistor or blower?
how do I test the resistor, fans not working on any speed by the way.
Cheers Rob.

Re: heater blower diagnosis setps?
It sounds like the motor has seized, if the resistor is faulty the motor still works on it's highest speed because that "bypasses" the resistor. Did you replace the switch with a new one?
Here's a link to a few posts on how to check if it is the motor https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... it=+blower
The Wiki has an excellent idiots guide to the blower faults and how to replace it here https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Co ... eplacement

Re: heater blower diagnosis steps?
Do you have to remove the heater box/unit to split, or can it be done in situ?
Rob.

Well put. Akin to having to do a 5000 piece 'bob the builder' jigsaw.
