Hi there,
I've just bought a eber b1l and despite checking the installation document on the wiki, I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or I have bought a faulty one.
A: is connected to the fuel pump
B: is connected to the battery, reading 13.5v
When I connect C with D the fan blows for about 20-40 seconds and then stops. The fuel pump feels as though it pumping on a pulse, but no fuel is being sucked up...
Any ideas?!

You have to prime the fuel line first or you may need 10-20 startup attempts to do it with the heater. If the pump has been dry for a long time a squirt of wd40 or fuel in the inlet can help. Ensure that the filter in the pump inlet is clear also.

Whip the glow plug out and connect one of the wires that go to the pump to -ve and the other one to +ve and keep making and breaking the connection so the pump keeps clicking/pumping. Eventually you will see some fuel come from the jet inside where the plug came from. You will know it is primed then. Mine would not pull through the filter as it had been sat a while so I took the hose off between it and the pump and gave it a suck. Tasted like "pooh" but pulled it through enough to give the pump a chance.
There is probably a better way but it worked for me.

^^^^^^Don't prime it that way - there is a risk of frying the ecu!!!
Disconnect the wiring from the pump and use a 12v source to make and break the power at the pump with no connection to the heater. (polarity is immaterial)

Hi guys,
Thanks for the help.
I've primed it by just connecting the pump directly to the battery, nothing else. Fuel was squirting away, pumped it up into the eber and then wired everything up like last time.
Now I don't have anything, no fan
Is it possible I have flooded the eber with fuel and this auto stops it?!
Is there anything I can check if I open the ecu?

Don't open the ecu. Nothing for you in there!
User error prime cause. Go back to what you have changed/touched. Thermostat calling for heat? (what controller are you using?)
Double check your connections, loose fuses, voltage.

I'm just using a universal switch, it says thermostat is optional.
Checked polarity and voltage and it's feeding the ecu, fuse in ecu is fine.
