I too am running solexes and get around 19mpg-21mpg. i have been told to get some Weber ICT......
I have looked at the options and they appear to be as follows:
Gasure rebuild of Solex PDSIT £210
Gower and Lea rebuild / rebush/ chemical clean etc etc £360
Dellorto/ weber - genuine Weber ICTs cheap kit £399 jetted correctly for engine
Dellorto/ Weber - genuine Weber ICTs CB performance kit £488.50
This leaves me in a bit of a quandrary as i am totally unsure which option to go for. My brain tells me to go for the Gower and Lea rebuild as i retain the chokes and essentially get brand new solexes back , but the 6-7 week turnaround means i will have to cycle to work for the time it takes to complete during the crappy winter weather.....
The reason i am keeping the twin singles is because i am running LPG
Any thoughts on best course of action ??
or alternatively can anyone lend me a pair of 2.0l Solex PDSIT for the 6-7 week period so that i can have them rebuilt and then i will return my old ones which are on a daily driver once the carbs are rebuilt........ heres hoping
