I tend to work mine out the other way around.... it cost me 27 pence per mile recently on a 650 mile round trip  Filled her to the brim, drove 100 miles then re filled, cost me £27. which if my maths is about right works out to 23mpg?

Not bad going Pionte, what was your average speed? Also makes me wonder whether a Hi-Top would give slightly less MPG than a Pop-Top due to the aerodynamics - any thoughts on this?!

I think weight probably has more influence than aerodynamics (imho of course ;))

Our TinTop, especially when we had all the camper interior out, felt a heck of a lot more sprightly than our Hi-Top, which is a heavily built LeisureDrive  (same DG motors, in similar condition by the way) We also keep far too much junk in the Hi-Top "because we can" It all adds up, fast !
Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here

Good point John - i had all the old interior taken out and replaced with a lighter-weight marine ply and have vinyl down as well which will probably knock a little bit of weight off.
