Carbs/Pump/Filter getting clogged

Yeah, it was all the crap in the fuel lines between the pump and the tank, which is odd, its just a fuel line? How the hell could it make the fuel look so crap.

When I was getting ready to drain the tank, I did notice that the line seemed to have a black line on the bottom, with clear on the top so it could have been "pooh" that settled at the bottom of the line which brought "pooh" up or whatever.

I am pretty sure that the fuel line which was used, was also used as a garden hosepipe before it got put in.

Certainly looks like hosepipe to me subintro although could be wrong - I'd be inclined to replace all the fuel hose as a matter of course mate:

Yeah, al of the fuel pipes have been replaced. Reading your link it doesn't recommend jubilee clips, which I'm currently using so I think I'd have to replace those soon.

Simple. The chemical makeup of modern fuel is much more aggressive than it used to be, and many types of "fuel line" just can't cope with it. They start to break up in quite short order. We put a length of new fuel pipe on our van - from a length I'd used successfully on another car a few years earlier - and it failed in four days. The replacement lasted about four HOURS.
