Ive just replaced the wheel bearing, and have previously had a smell of fuel problem.
this is what ive found, is this right or should the pipes be connected to the breather... is there any reason why previous owner has done this

Looks like non of them are connected, think ive found the smell of the petrol.
Can you connected them without lowering the tank ?

Yep.
The outer ends are easy, the inners - especially the rears, and double-especially the rear on the fuel filler side - are a bit trickier. A little bit of washing-up liquid or similar helps to slide 'em on.

I disconnected mine because they were split and letting in water every time it rained.
never reconnected them just sealed them up.
I Don't much use petrol though, never had much over 1/2 a tank.. I have LPG y'see

One of mine's looped out, because the nipple on the tank's broken off. I s'pose I ought to replace it at some stage.
