bolted to the rear bulk head behind the engine. it is obviously somesort of connection for the water pipes from the engine bay to the rad... there is a twiddly nob bit then below that is ( or should be a small pipe) that leads to the engine....

Mine snapped of when the monkey ( me ) forgot to unclip it when I took the engine out , to be fair I was doing it on my own without a hoist.
Anyhow my question is, is the twiddly nob bit somesort of blead valve ? and ifso in the closed position does it stop water from passing into the small pipe ( aprox 3mm diameter) if that is the case then it is less of a worry at the mo as I can just bung up the other end with a temporary stopper and keep the twiddly bit shut...
I would buy a new one but my early cooling system seems to be as rare as a rare thing
