Slightly eye watering but what price piece of mind?

Well if it goes again at least I know you can get one, don't fancy a second hand one with the reputation.

Yes we have LHD too, just look on the webshop, it's all there to see.

Looks like the discussion moved on from my broken gearstick, a solid one would definately be nice.

Anyway the camping trip was saved, I tapped the shaft about 40mm each way (basically as far as I could get the tap in) then joined them with threaded bar, then welded the join. Can't see it snapping at that position again.

We went camping with a Lifted Land cruiser and a Nissan Nivara, all on sand, the syncro held itself well, as per usual everyone was amazed that my little van could keep up. No action photo's (too busy driving) sorry.
