I want to get a lifting roof, 3/4 bed and side kitchen etc for my T25. I also want to get a decent respray. Not one that will show through in 12 months. The money I will be spending is not for a resale, you never get it back. It's because I want to and want to keep the bus for a long long time.
Do any of you out there have any reputable places that can do this?
I've been quoted £2700+vat for respray in original cream with a pearl coat. This may require two rear quarter panels and if I don't get a lifting top it includes resealing the two sunroofs. I know it's a bit subjective because the standards vary but is this about right? It appears so from other comments.
However I am still interested in a lifting top and a cooker and sink. The bed is full size but in excellent condition. Are there any decent conversions which would allow this to remain.
I have decided not to fit a lifting roof or the 3/4 bed and cooker etc. The interior is so good it would be a crime to change it. I like the idea of keeping it as built with rudimentary cooking facilities which can be left in the garage when not needed. I like the space in the bus, I don't want to fill it up with a lot of heavy stuff I won't need.
I am having the re-spray done though. This is essential. All four wheel arches and a side panel to be replaced.
I am struggling with the sunroofs.
There are two and when removed will probably need new seals. One is marked Augros Brilliant the glass is FABA Autoglas 43R-001386, The other is a Formont F600.
I think they are both discontinued.
it has sort of, you got them someplace like p bucket etc then pm me the link and i can bang them up for you,or read the thing in the wiki ? that says how to
mm
with a planked van it's not till they are removed you really know how bad it is, ditto the interior
I agree with keeping it fairly riginal and simple
how about a factory big sunroof roof to replace the twin useless leakers as an idea ?
