DF are 215mm diameter along with early DG, late(r) DG and 2.1 DJ/SS/MV are 228 mm.

Re: new flywheel??
they are actually mixed.
you just need to know the clutch size as above 215 or 228, but it dosent matter if your buying a new clutch as well.
they also do ones with the ring gear either cast into the flywheel ( poss 2.0 Aircooled) and ones with a seperate ring gear. but they all seem to fit df, dg , dj , cu
you may not find a 'new ' one . whats wrong with yours ? i may have a good used 228?

Don't quite understand how the face of the flywheel will tear the oil seal....crump167 wrote:Mine is a 228, keeps tearing the face off the oil seal, after 3 times and much research came to conclusion needed to get flywheel re faced, after getting quotes thought might aswell buy a new one

Re: new flywheel??
if the seal surface of the flywheel is damaged then I'd be looking at a SpeediSleeve solution rather than machining as the seal is only available in one size - are you using genuine seal or aftermarket, and how much end float have you got ?
