Just gone to fit the actuators I obtained but they are different to the ones fitted to my van. Mine are green in colour and have the part no. 7D0 959 781 A. Does anyone know if the ones sent to me (part no. 255 959 783) are a direct replacement or require modifying as Simon from Brickwerks alluded to earlier? The wiring connectors are completely different so before I start cutting I thought I'd better ask first.
Out of interest, the type of actuators I purchased are shown on the GoWesty website but in the description they state 'Modified by GoWesty to work with all Vanagons with power door locks'. In the picture the actuator also has an extra wire which I guess is part of the modification.

7DO ones are the T4 version which is the replacement for the original ones which are the 255 part number
the 7DO ones required a loom adapter fitting which changed the T3 plug in the van to the T4 actuator connection, if these looms have been used when fitting the T4 ones then it should be a case of unplug the adapter loom and plug the T3 loom into the T3 actuators, otherwise you will be into some wiring plug fun - original plugs and fittings will be available from VW probably
