Sorry I thought all the info was there.

Yes remove the metal bridge and any 19 should work.

A 99 relay is better as it's a programmable intermittent.

Relay 99 pops up on a well known auction site quite regularly...prices range considerably but I got one for about £8 inc P&P recently and it is a great mod.

I've got a spare 19 you can have for few quid if u need. Tbh the adjustable one is an effing pain in the a*** cos you always need to fiddle with it to set the delay!!

That is not true. The 99 relay has a default delay the same as the 19 relay and changing it is optional. If yours does not have the default delay then it is faulty.

The 99 works the same as a 19 relay. Pushing the stalk down from the off to the intermittant position and leaving it there gives you the default delay. You can go from a custom set to the default delay by pushing the stalk up to the off and then back down to the intermittant position and leaving it there.
VW did it this way so that women can also have intermittant wipers. :run

Guys? How do you get to the white wedge? I've taken the bottom steering cowl off, but it looks like I need to take off the steering wheel to remove the too steering column cowl?

'sOK. I had another go. Saw Cruz's photos and realised the wedge was on the indicator side and managed to jemmy it out with a thin screwdriver through the little opening the indicator stalk comes through. Right, now to get me relay :ok

Er.... I assume you pull the metal "question mark" that's connecting pins 2 and 6 in the correct location for the relay in the fuse box?
