Diesel leak?

Post by B.J »

I noticed an oily patch under the van the other day and on closer inspection it appears to be diesel.
I can't pinpoint it exactly as the van is on a hill. Are the pipes prone to rotting?

So no 'tank drop' needed?

Mine were done when the tank was out, all the hoses on top of tank were replaced as well. Best to try and dry it all off and see where it's coming from. You might be lucky and be able to get to it.

If you want to drain it just to change hoses, don't. Just clamp the pipe by the outlet

Yes, you can cut one of the clamps of that hose, but be ready because a lot of diesel will come out!!
