Fault in Dash

Post by sheldon »

Hi All
My oil pressure light isnt working and never has so I had a mechanic fit a new switch at the back of the head. It still isnt working so
I am having all my wiring looked at and like most old veihcles its showing signs of bodgery. Has anybody had any problems with their oil pressure control unit? or light I am told the problem seems to be behind the dash.

Any response would be appreciated.

Regards

yes there is a high rev and a low rev oil sensor and there is also a buzzer as well as the light it is known as the dynamic oil pressure warning system or DOPWS these would be good starting points for a search in the top right search box.

and also on the wiki
