Hi,
Could anyone help I've finnished wiring the mains to my van and I'm now in the process of wiring my CF9 unit up to my van ( no electrics previously fitted ). I've wired all the lights, water pump etc and run cables to the leisure battery as described in the manual for the CF9 but it advises to fit a RM12 relay for the fridge but doesnt give any diagram, it said the diagram would come with the relay but it didnt. Would anyone have a diagram or could you describe how to fit it ? I've done a search but it only shows the CF8. My van is an 20l Aircooled, Thanks, Gareth
My 1985 Auto-Sleeper Hi-Top is fitted with a CF9. The relay for the fridge is behind the panel over the sink unit where there is also a switch for the fridge.
A wire is taken from the MAIN battery via a 15amp fuse, next to the battery, to terminal 12 on the CF9. A wire is taken from terminal 11 on the CF9 to terminal 30 on the RM14 relay (terminal 11 and 12 go to the 15 amp fridge fuse in the CF9) A wire is taken from terminal 87 on the relay to the 12v terminal on the fridge which goes to the selector switch which then goes to the element.
To trigger the relay a wire is taken from the ignition switch to the fridge switch in the panel above the sink and then to terminal 85 on the relay. Terminal 86 is connected to earth. I have fitted an indicator lamp on terminal 87 to show when the fridge supply is live.
I have done a wiring diagram for my van, I could email it to you if you wish, I have tried scanning it and posting it to the forum without success!
Hope this helps,
Sid

third attempt to post a wiring diagram I did for my 1985 Auto-Sleeper Hi-Top fitted with a Zig CF9.
It seems to have worked!!
I emailed it to Lloydyboy to be sure he got it
