Rain water on the inside!!

Post by mattjb »

Hi Guys, Please help me with a water leak :(

Both driver and pass foot wells collect rain water - it runs down from behind the dash! it also fills the cross section which you can see in from the drivers side.

Is this a common thing?

is it the windscreen?

Thanks for the help up front :ok

Yes it's a common thing and yes it's the windscreen. Probably both lower corners of the window frame to be exact. Water collects there and rusts through over time, creating a hole, then allowing the water to run through the hole and onto your feet.

Heres what mine is like...

and the type of repairs mine needed... you might get away with cutting smaller sections out..mine is the worst case I've seen photos of.
None of this rust was visible until I took the glass out.

It might also just be a crappy seal. mine had gone but no rust round the frame just a rusty dash. you might be lucky. :ok
