Re: hella spot lights wiring
They should be wired so that they can only come on after the sidelights are switched on from what I can recall an MoT tester saying some time ago (I may be wrong and it has changed in which case someone else will hopefully help with this aspect).

Oh if only life were that simple Davedave lfc wrote:just need to know what colour wires to connect to

As previously posted you have to have your side or headlights on for your front fogs to be on from a legal perspective.
I don't understand what you mean by
you don't mean the indicators surely?dave lfc wrote:i would like these to work with the passing/flashing light
Anyway, do you have the later fusebox and a three position fog light switch that currently switches your rear fog in position 3,(i.e, Off, On 1, On 2)?

Re: hella spot lights wiring
I never thought to try that. Is that how VW wired them to work or something you did Kev? I've wired mine as per the Haynes manual VW wiring diagram.kevtherev wrote:my front fogs operate with the flash.

Re: hella spot lights wiring
They were like it when I bought the van if I'm honest
The high beam switch has to be on to be fair
but once you've "clicked" the stalk they come on with the flash.
mine are wired from the three pos switch as far as I can see.. before that it looks like standard wiring
