hella spot lights wiring

hi i have just fitted some hella spot lights to my front bumper.i have misplaced my haynes manual for which wires to connect with.i would like these to work with the passing/flashing light.so i will need the earth and live for these to work,thanks dave :ok

They should be wired so that they can only come on after the sidelights are switched on from what I can recall an MoT tester saying some time ago (I may be wrong and it has changed in which case someone else will hopefully help with this aspect).

Do you have a three position rear fog lamp switch?

Oh if only life were that simple Dave :lol: The wires won't just be hanging there.....
As previously posted you have to have your side or headlights on for your front fogs to be on from a legal perspective.

Anyway, do you have the later fusebox and a three position fog light switch that currently switches your rear fog in position 3,(i.e, Off, On 1, On 2)?

Think he means full beam, in which case its possible but more wiring needed!

once again, do you have the three position fog switch?

my front fogs operate with the flash.

I never thought to try that. Is that how VW wired them to work or something you did Kev? I've wired mine as per the Haynes manual VW wiring diagram.

They were like it when I bought the van if I'm honest
The high beam switch has to be on to be fair

but once you've "clicked" the stalk they come on with the flash.
mine are wired from the three pos switch as far as I can see.. before that it looks like standard wiring
