Hello all....
Hope all is well. I've just bought an 1981 T25. I've decided it needs lowering to make it look that little bit more sporty. I bought the justkampers kit J19315 45mm-50mm lowering springs H&R. Can someone please let me know what size alloy wheel would be best to suit the van? and the best tyre.
Also at some point I want the body kit that was standard on some T25 years ago so if you know where the best place to buy these from is then that would also be a help.
Thanks
Al

Most of the body kits (side planks) you see are on wrong-hand drive late vans ... the planks just hold salty moisture against the bodywork ... NEVER a good idea.

no more rusty bits for planks/bumpers and door pods. Can get cheaper but these fit well and a qaulity item.

Re: HELP ME I'M NEW! wheels and tyres
Hey mate
My tub has been lowered 50mm and i've gone for some Porsche Teledials 15" 6J, 52.3 Offset. Tyres 205/70/15 with a load rating of 104. (and some VW to Porsche adaptors)
The wheel offset needs to be 30 to 39mm and the adaptors being 20mm wide brings this down to 32mm
With the van that low you need to get the front right as you'll end up ripping your front arches out, the bigger the rim the lower the profile choice
Hope that helps a bit
Phil

Cheers for all the info and links.
I take it the side kits are not a good idea? they do look good and thats what i want it to do. Is there an alternative?
Phil how does it ride? Its getting lowered next week so will have to decide on the wheels asap, someone said the 5 x 112 PCD???
Cheers again guys.

Re: HELP ME I'M NEW! wheels and tyres
Hey mate I got this of the wiki pages regarding the 112 x 5 pcd
"Well a T25 wheel has a PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) of 5 x112, with 5 holes for 14mm studs or bolts
PCD stands for pitch circle diameter it is basically the positioning of the bolt holes on your wheel rim".
The ride on the van is a little hard you tend to feel every little ripple in the road,I've been told its because the rubber stops were not altered (so it may be a good idea to ask your mechanic) also your wheel camber angle will be changed resulting on your tyres wearing unevenly. (This can be rectified)
There's loads of info on here just stick a few keywords in the search box and it drags up old posts and answers.
and the steering is heavy but you get used to it. Mercedes wheels are a good choice they tend to be a little cheaper. Check (cut paste it) this link
https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Wh ... s_for_T25s" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Its a lot to take in but it's worth it..
