where do the wires go?

Post by spookyrooky »

ive finally got round to fitting an engine 2 years down the line on my 1.9 dj engine, but im having a memory lapse to where the wires go, ive got black and brown to a water sensor,
red wire from the heater element to the red wire in the loom,
yellow wire to a small sensor on the thermostat housing,
brown wire from the dizzy to the left hand side of the solex carb connected to a black which then goes to an earth point on the front of the solex carb,

BUT ive got a terminal on the right hand side of the carb? where does this go???

PS if the wiring is wrong, please tell me :)

thank you.

Really need a picture to suss this one out, as a 1.9 dj with a solex carb is a strange hybrid indeed! :D

Sounds to me like it's probably a DF.
BTW black wires are usually live 12V feed on a VW engine, brown is earth.
