alternator bracket
just went to change my alternator for a 90 amp one when i realised its not a straight swap , the housing on the 90amp one that connects the alternator to the adjusting bracket is thicker so it doesnt line up anyone had this before ? the alternator is off a 2.1 but i was told it would fit

Re: alternator bracket
You could try removing some material from the alt depending on where it conflicts.

Re: alternator bracket
Could you space the bracket in / out with a couple of washers between bracket and mounting lug ? (iirc my van has washers there to make it line up, can't check as van has been away for months now getting a body restoration job)
Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here

Re: alternator bracket
Will it not physically fit or pulley wheel out of line? If latter, you did swap wheels I presume?
