Engine Undertray

Post by supergalaxy »

I Have a 1.7 diesel t3 which has the undertray in situ. I notice on a lot of photos of engine bays these seem to be absent. Is it OK to run the van long term without it fitted, Advantages/Disadvantages? Advice please.

Had mine 3 1/2 years (1.7 n/a) did not know they ever had one fitted lol. So no problem not having one, but I want one now. Be nice to have something to catch and soak up all my oil drips

I've got one on my 1.6D and I like it lots.... But then again mines ex German Military so maybe they came as standard.... Either way, I like it as it does indeed catch all the crap that falls out the bottom..... :D :D :D

designed to help noise!

veryfew vans still have them

in an ideal world they keep your engine clean , quieten the noise inside the van as well as protect from theives and stones

in reality on a 20/30 year old vehicle that has rust, poor maintenece they are not needed
