Engine Undertray
I Have a 1.7 diesel t3 which has the undertray in situ. I notice on a lot of photos of engine bays these seem to be absent. Is it OK to run the van long term without it fitted, Advantages/Disadvantages? Advice please.

Re: Engine Undertray
Had mine 3 1/2 years (1.7 n/a) did not know they ever had one fitted lol. So no problem not having one, but I want one now. Be nice to have something to catch and soak up all my oil drips

Re: Engine Undertray
I've got one on my 1.6D and I like it lots.... But then again mines ex German Military so maybe they came as standard.... Either way, I like it as it does indeed catch all the crap that falls out the bottom.....

designed to help noise!
veryfew vans still have them
in an ideal world they keep your engine clean , quieten the noise inside the van as well as protect from theives and stones
in reality on a 20/30 year old vehicle that has rust, poor maintenece they are not needed
