So he made it down to you but the million Doller question is did he make it back in one piece alive?
Back in the game with an uncut 2wd panel van
Re: First Run for Panel Van. The Bomb Hole, Strata Florida
Just a quick heads up chap - might be worth changing title on you tube to something unobstrusive and just a link on here.
The bomb hole is 'off piste' ( RoW is the lane that follows forestry fence line) , saves the liberals jumping on it and any other associated hassles
Strata was always one of my favs. Is Sarn Helen still open or completely binned now?

Re: First Run for Panel Van. The Bomb Hole, Strata Florida
paul bought an AAZ from birmingham sold as good but turned out to be a duffer. some shenanigans later he got a refund. so i dug up my old AAZ and we got it running and changed belt and oil seals last night at 10.00. with 2 engines in his camper we realised kipping in the van was going to be a twisted affair so stayed over sun night and limped back up to aidans this morning.

Re: First Run for Panel Van. The Bomb Hole, Strata Florida
Bet that wasn't needed
I suppose that's going to be the issue with getting a good AAZ now, getting pretty old themselves. I've taken the first step to TDI by booking the gearbox in for longer gears. Seems like you can buy a whole AFN car for the price of an AAZ block, crazy!
Anyway, enough hijacking the thread, count me in for the next Florida run (well, as long as it hasn't been raining all week)

Don't worry about the rain. If the rivers are full we can ask Jed to waterproof all our snorkels

I reckon mine would have. My bumpers still bust from the Vanfest incident so wouldn't even have to take it off.
Cheers

P.S. Has the novelty of parking on steep hills worn off yet, Paul?
