Use a lot of heat on the nuts, I found it worked for me anyway :D

When ever I have had that happen (more on f#rds! )Smash out any of the old porcelain and then get a lenght of square key steel and weld it to whats left of the plug, the heats should free it up and with an adjustable on the key steel undo it!

Update :(

Well been heating all morning no joy at all :(

Tried tapping what's left around but will be left with nothing to tap as just going to break off in little bits :(

I reckon thread is knackered and been bodged so dunno what to do now , think its going to cost a lot to fix :(

Like James says....do above, that's what we used to do when I worked at a F ord dealer...HCS engines used to do it all the time..

Sorry only just seen the reply! measure the hole and get it as close as you can but enough room for a good weld too! think bits i used to use were all about 8 mm
