How much oil do i need to fill my 1.6d gearbox, its a 4 speed. Thanks in advance.

According to bentley workshop manual , Diesel 4 litres , Petrol 3 litres.
They note that the oil quantity has been reduced to aid shifting, but the filler/level hole remains in the same place. The oil level will be about 15mm below the filler hole.
Managed to get over 4 litres in mine

Yeah thanks for that was starting to get confused as i have read quite a few differnt things on here, some say 3.5 4 and 4.5, upto the level so it pours out and so on. i also understand its best to get GL4 75w/90 as the 80 one has made peoples gear change harder?
