adjusting the pump is very easy.
only turn the screw a fraction tho!
you mot man should be able to show you what to adjust as i havent a picture!
it will be even flatter driving to/from the mot station , but at least you can reset it after the mot!

Re: Failed MOT AGAIN! Advice Really Appreciated!!!
Good to hear your van is on the road again... remember this problem will re-occur next year.... engines with bad emissions dont get any better

This is true - the difference new oil makes to emissions can be quite drastic!southernsparky wrote:When mine failed on emissions, the bloke changed the oil too. Something to do with fumes from combustion deposits in the oil or somat. Not entirely sure what he meant. But it did make a big difference to the emission reading.
Can anyone explain? Providing it's not Bs that is:-)
It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!

it could be the pump thats faulty/ wearing.

Sorry to be pedantic but what reading did you get in the end, did it just pass emissions or fly through?
I'm just forward planning as I have a 1.6td and want to make sure its well prepared come MOT Time.
