Not sure if the slider can be used as a reference but early gutters have a lip on the top of the gutter making it more like a C wheras late gutters are more like an L

Better than over £20 each new. They don't fly off or need gunk to fit

Clearly I need to take some photos to silence the cynical

Bit dark now but if I get time tomorrow night I'll take some. For the record, VW themselves use mastic to affix gutter trim on the Caravelle - as I found when I replaced mine. You may be confusing the mini trim with c-shaped trim which I agree would not be suitable. The stuff I bought is a perfect fit and available in black or chrome at a fraction of the price of the original VW stuff. It hasn't moved in three years and I only added mastic to make it a little tougher for would-be thieves from stealing it. I also have an unused section which should show you the profile. I'm not one for dismissing an idea unless I've actually tried it.

I'm not dismissing your idea but having tried mini trim on early gutters and a-pillars I know they don't fit...... :ok
