hi there just been looking at your threads . i would use stickoflex we use it all thime for sealing fridge trailors at work . sticks allmost any thing and seals as well .with big gaps we put it on and leave for 10 mins then speader it over. we also stick panels on with it . email me and i will let you know where to but it shaun sorry you buy it in like mastic tubes

personally I wouldn't bother bodging to that extent, if your going to repair later in year just treat the rust as best you can and stick glazing tape to overlap the rust. It's not pretty but easily removed and if you stick it well should keep the water out. I have used this as a temporary repair on my lower windscreen, holed fiberglass, and of course 6ft tears in polytunnels. Jobs a good un in about 15mins and dead easy to remove when needed, also cheap and available in different widths.
Don't waste time making it look pretty, it certainly won't look any worse.
personally I wouldn't bother bodging to that extent, if your going to repair later in year just treat the rust as best you can and stick glazing tape to overlap the rust. It's not pretty but easily removed and if you stick it well should keep the water out. Im looking at a way of replacing the windows in my poptop as mine are shot, I have sourced some decent clear plastic but need a way of securing it without taking the canvas of and stitching.... Just wondering how strong this tape is

This stuff is strong and holds up to uv, wouldn't use it on canvas as it sticks better to non porous.

This product is UV and Flame retardent. We can also fabricate this material to your requirements. See product 111.
