I've just been hunting around for someone to fix the gas fridge in my recently-bought camper.
I started off calling caravan suppliers with workshops - and each one said they're booked up until July.
I then tried using
http://www.gassaferegister.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - this is the 'official' list of people to work on gas appliances of all sorts (the replacement to 'corgi').
While it gave me a decent list of people who claim to do work on caravans (what each company does displays in the company's listing), after phoning around ten of them, I gave up - not one of them would touch it, some saying they weren't certified to, and all the rest saying they don't do caravans (despite the listing saying they do).
In the end I found the website for Dometic (the replacement company for Electrolux) which sent me to
http://www.dometicapproved.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for servicing and manuals.
Searching via my postcode, it only returned one entry, who is based miles away. But the guy was very helpful on the phone, and he's going to try to find time to see me the next time he's in Bristol (next week) so he doesn't have to drive out here just for me (so hopefully the price will reflect that). When I told him that the fridge works OK on 240v he sounded confident he could get it sorted.
So it's worth trying
http://www.dometicapproved.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I reckon.
