testing a diesel starter
howdy, anybody know how to test a starter when it is not in the van?
Re: testing a diesel starter
connect it to some jump leads
eitherway without a correct test bed you wont be able to check how it works under load.

As the spinny bit is unsupported out of the van its not a good idea as you can burn it out.

diesel motors are self supporting
only petrol manuals are non self supporting.
