just had report from garage that my overheating problem is a suspected head gasket. They've quoted £450, does that sound about right to anyone, I'm no mechanic by a long long shot but try to get things done myself if i can save a few £ 
but this is way beyond me. Does anyone know that if I've been using the van in this state that it means i might have also cracked the block?? aw hmffff!! I thought it was just the water pump! quick job n ready for the summer!! but....
with the help of a friend who will be over looking what I'm doing from time to time as he's quite busy and would do it for me if he had the time himself.
